There IS time for a pre-party tweakment!

Party season is about to peak and, as a 49-year-old working mum, I already feel exhausted. But this year, I won’t look it —because I’m having myself a merry little Tweakmas.
As the founder of The Editor’s List, a concierge service that connects some of the world’s most glamorous women with top cosmetic surgeons and doctors, I knew exactly who to call.
I started in November as the procedures all have around four days’ downtime, in case you bruise. Start now and you’ll see results by your Christmas party and enjoy the cumulative results for next year’s festivities, too.
Never book the day of a party, as alcohol thins the blood, which can delay healing. And manage your expectations — these are ‘tweaks’ that refresh rather than drastically alter your features.
These are the best in-demand practitioners known for their light touch — but move fast for the remaining pre-Christmas appointments.
Olivia Falcon, 49, started having her procedures in November as they all have around four days’ downtime, in case you bruise
FOR TIRED EYES
AgeJET Plasma Eye is a regenerative skin treatment that refreshes the delicate upper and lower eyelids. It stimulates production of collagen and elastin; tightening up eye bags, reducing dark circles and smoothing crow’s feet and fine lines.
AgeJET uses medical-grade nitrogen gas for more accurate delivery of the plasma. It doesn’t cause injury to the skin surface and is suitable for all skin tones.
I had both eyes treated and it wasn’t painful, more a hot flicking sensation. It took less than ten minutes. I was a little pink afterwards, felt like I had mild sunburn for a few hours and my skin was slightly dry and flaky for about four days.
A week on, my eye bags are less prominent, as if I’ve had a month of good sleep. Three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart are recommended and effects last up to 9-12 months.
Cost: From £250

FOR DULL SKIN AND PIGMENTATION
Exosomes are tiny, sack-like structures, derived from stem cells that contain a rich blend of growth factors, proteins and other bioactive molecules.
They occur naturally in the body, but are now made for topical use where they stimulate skin by encouraging cells to act younger. The most radiant results I’ve experienced came from Exotech Therapy with Dr David Jack (drdavidjack.com).
A plant-based exosome serum derived from rose stem cells (which mimic human exosomes) is spread across the face, then driven into the skin with a micro needling device that rapidly fires hundreds of super fine needles into the skin, letting the exosomes penetrate.
It’s repeated several times so skin can feel tender, but it’s quick and doesn’t hurt. I was flushed for a few hours but the next day I had a megawatt glow that lasted a week.
Repeating the process about a month later, the exosomes have a cumulative effect and can help with brightening dark circles and toning down blotchy pigmentation. Dr Jack recommends three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart.
Cost: From £580.

FOR JOWLS AND TURKEY NECKS
Sculptra is an injectable product that restores youthful volume and fullness to lax skin, and encourages new collagen production to help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. It is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), the same substance used in dissolvable stitches,
Sculptra is injected through a long hollow needle into the desired area. It is uncomfortable rather than painful; there is a slight sting then a feeling of pressure as the product is pushed into skin tissues.
I had some tenderness and a couple of small bruises that were easily concealed with make-up and subsided after three days. I saw an instant improvement; my crepey neck looked firmer.
Over four weeks, things have subtly improved as new collagen networks grow. A couple of top‑up treatments a month apart are recommended. Effects last more than two years.
Costs: From £550

FOR LEATHERY DECOLLETE
Teresa Tarmey’s new Rejuvenation Mega Boost is an advanced treatment for the chest that can also be performed on the face or neck.
It starts with a gently tingling lactic acid peel that works to brighten as it un-glues the bonds that hold dead cells on the surface of the skin.
Next, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) feels like a hot elastic band pinging against my chest, and works to tone down pigmentation. If you have broken capillaries, Teresa (whose clients include Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham) will zap these with Alma Dye Laser.
She then uses a gentle radio frequency device with tiny pins that delivers energy through the skin’s surface, creating microscopic wounds which initiate a natural healing process.
I felt slightly sunburnt and was red for three days. A week later, the redness has gone and my decolletage looks more even-toned and creamy. Effects last for around nine months.
Cost: £600
