Hot cross bun fans are in for a treat this Easter, thanks to a special announcement from Tesco, especially for the hoppy holiday.
The supermarket has released a new hybrid variation – the Hot Cross Scones. Available in store and online now, each pack of two costs just £1.

Costing just £1 for a pack of two, the new addition is just one of 10 variations featuring in this year’s range with new and returning favourites.
Also new to the range is the sweet and juicy Tesco Finest Maple Syrup (£5.50) and Blueberry Hot Cross Buns (£1.50).

Returning favourites include salted caramel & chocolate, apple & cinnamon and St Clements hot cross buns with plump orange-soaked sultanas and raisins.
So this Easter there will definitely be something to suit everyone's tastes. And as there's over 10 different options to choose from, you could even host your very own Hot Cross Bun tasting party – perfect to explore new flavours.
Nicola Orchard, Product Development Manager, said: “Our new Hot Cross Scones combine the crumble of a scone with the fruity flavour of a hot cross bun, and we expect them to be a huge hit with our customers this Easter. As with traditional scones, you can serve with Cornish cream and a touch of strawberry jam – but the big question is, do you put your jam or cream on first?".
