A professional cleaner has revealed exactly how she makes showers sparkle in minutes.

While cleaning the shower can be a tedious chore, Kacie said the task is ‘so simple but really thorough’.

Professional cleaner Kacie Stephens (pictured) from The Big Clean Co in Melbourne shared how to clean a shower – and says the task is ‘simple’
The process includes scrubbing away soap, using a squeegee to remove traces of water then polishing the whole surface with a dry microfibre cloth
The process included scrubbing away soap, using a squeegee to remove traces of water then polishing the whole surface with a dry microfibre cloth.
In the clip, she can be seen cleaning a tenant’s shower for an end of lease clean – and thankfully all soap bottles had already been removed from shelves.
‘If there were shampoo bottles and little bits of soap, I’d get those out of my way first,’ Kacie said.
She added how the shower was already ‘kind of clean’, but she didn’t use this as an excuse to ‘slack off’ – and neither should others with their own shower.
Kacie began by cleaning the entire surface with a wet microfibre cloth, water and soap, starting at the top and working her way down.
Next, she rinses off the soapsuds then scrubs the areas that need extra cleaning – such as the corners – then rinses once more.
‘I always give my shower a shower – so I soak the whole thing up, I scrub where I need to, I rinse it, I squeegee it, I dry it,’ Kacie said
Simple steps to clean your shower:
1. Remove everything from your shower so that the space is clean of items and ready to be cleaned.
2. Wipe down all the surfaces that have had any of the bottles on them with a microfibre cloth and dishwashing liquid. You should also wipe down your shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles with the same mix.
3. Pay special attention to areas like the handles, hinges and chrome.
4. Grab a grout brush and take time to go over your grouting with dishwashing liquid on the brush.
5. Rinse everything, pat it dry and put all of your items back.

If needed, use a brush to clean the grout in between the tiles, which Kacie did on this occasion.
Kacie then scrubbed the taps, showerhead hose and rinsed everything down before using a squeegee to remove any traces of water from the surface.
Finally she polishes the shower using a dry microfibre cloth, and the space was left looking good as new.
‘I always give my shower a shower – so I soak the whole thing up, I scrub where I need to, I rinse it, I squeegee it, I dry it,’ Kacie said.
After 24 hours the video was watched more than 14,000 times and others online thanked Kacie for sharing her tips.
One person asked how she doesn’t get wet during the process and Kacie said: ‘I get asked this a lot!! I’m never standing under the spray, so it just runs down and under my feet. I stand on microfibre towels when I come out.’
