Pablo Fornals and Roberto Firmino feature in the best Dream Team of Game Week 28

SOMEBODY call Ronnie O’Sullivan because this week’s top Dream Team gaffer topped out at 147 points.

Rangers fan Jamie Robertson was crowned king of Game Week 28 but how exactly did he achieve such a feat?

Let’s take a closer look at his XI…

No surprise to see a healthy contingent of Liverpool players in Jamie’s XI – that’s been the theme of the month.

Joel Matip (£5.3m) and Andy Robertson (£5.9m) both banked 23 points in Game Week 28 thanks to back-to-back clean sheets, an assist each, and a Star Man award each – they were the top two defenders of the week.

It says a lot about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s (£7.6m) pedigree that a 16-point Game Week is almost par for the course now – when was the last time you saw a defender reach a price of £7.6m?

The 23-year-old is five points away from reaching 250 for the season but Jurgen Klopp has since confirmed his superstar right-back has suffered a hamstring issue so that milestone may have to wait.

Great to see Aymeric Laporte (£5.5m) make an appearance – we’ve been tipping the Frenchman-turned-Spaniard recently as he’s essentially a lock while Ruben Dias (£4.5m) is sidelined with injury.

Manchester City were frustrated by Crystal Palace on Monday night but they secured a clean sheet and Laporte pocketed eight points.

Jamie has quite a unique midfield considering both Luis Diaz (£3.2m) and Pablo Fornals (£2.4m) feature in less than 6% of teams currently.

Liverpool’s new Colombian winger bravely headed home his side’s opener against the Seagulls and combined his goal with a 7+ rating to take home eight points.

While West Ham’s No8 scored against Aston Villa on Sunday, his sixth Premier League goal in 2021/22 – he also earned a 7+ rating.

Jamie’s differentials covered for his mainstream selection in midfield this week as Bernardo Silva (£3.7m) was one of several City assets repelled by the Eagles.

Up front, Mohamed Salah (£7.9m) is an automatic selection these days – his 20th league goal of the season came from the penalty spot against Graham Potter’s side.

It’s remarkable that the best Dream Team of Game Week 28 doesn’t feature Cristiano Ronaldo (£7.4m) considering the Portuguese phenomenon banked 28 points by virtue of his hat-trick against Tottenham last weekend.

Harry Kane (£7.3m) provided some compensation for Jamie with 13 points from his visits to Old Trafford and the Amex.

Finally, an inspired selection in the form of 1.9%-owned Roberto Firmino (£3.8m) who continued his incredible goalscoring record against Arsenal six minutes after being introduced from the bench at the Emirates.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian was shown a yellow card and failed to register a 7+ rating so he only returned four points instead of eight but still Jamie amassed a ginormous score when all was said and done.

Good luck to all gaffers ahead of Game Week 29 – the nature of the schedule suggests it might be a low-scoring one but those with wildcard differentials may prosper.
