Katie Lolas is known for sharing her healthy cooking and lifestyle tips on Instagram.
The food and wellness social media content creator boasts over 160,000 followers on the platform, and one of her genius tips includes cooking a poached egg with a simple glass of water.
To help people achieve the perfect brunch, she created a step-by-step video of the trick she uses to master the simple dish by using a microwave.
The mum, from Sydney, basically told her followers to fill a cup with water until a quarter of it is full.
Then all you need to do is simply crack an egg into it, and then use a fork to poke the whites around the yolk.
One you've done this put it in the microwave for 45 seconds – a fuss free and simple technique that's said to result in the ultimate poached egg.
Writing on Instagram, the cooking guru said: "If you don't have a poaching contraption on hand and hate the taste of vinegar in your poached eggs, then this is for you.
"Whether it's for eggs Benedict or avocado toast, this is the fool-proof way to make poached eggs in the microwave!
"Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water to a microwave safe cup or mug.
"Crack an egg into the water ensuring that the egg is covered with water.
"Poke the whites around the egg yolk 3 times with a fork or knife so the whites cook well.
"Cook on high for 45 secs in the microwave with an extra 15 second blasts if the egg isn't cooked to your liking.
"Strain from the water and add to your dish of choice!"
It's fair to say that Katie's end result resembled a dish that was fit to be served in a top brunch café, and her followers were left more than impressed.
One person said: "Umm this is genius! I just tried it and it works so well."
Another added: "I've just sat down to an egg in Brisbane.
"This is the most efficient egg experience of my life. Thank you."
Meanwhile, a third commented: "Never been able to perfect a poached egg, and along you come.
"I did mine for 50 seconds in one pop, and so delicious. Thank you."
