ANOTHER bumper Game Week has once again produced a gigantic top score for one standout Dream Team gaffer.
Arsenal fan Mandi Whitmore racked up 171 points when all was said and done on Thursday night.
Let’s take a closer look at how she did it…
Mandi’s defensive unit was the absolute perfect combination for Game Week 33.
Her quarter were the four top performers in their position, combining for 73 points.
Liverpool’s contingent kept two relatively simple clean sheets as neither Everton nor Villarreal spent much time in the Reds’ half during their respective visits to Anfield.
Andy Robertson (£6.3m) was the outright best defender with 21 points thanks to his deadlock-breaking header in the Merseyside derby.
Marcos Alonso (£5.1m) crashed the party on Thursday night when he scored at Old Trafford, adding to his clean sheet/assist combo against West Ham at the weekend – he banked 17 points.
Alisson (£4.8m) benefited from consecutive clean sheets but he wasn’t able to earn 7+ ratings because he simply wasn’t forced to do much work and so he settled for ten points, cementing his place at the top of the goalkeeper rankings.
The irrepressible Kevin De Bruyne (£7.3m) flexed his muscles at the Etihad to provide two assists against Watford (worth seven points with the accompanying 7+ rating) before he produced another sensational display versus Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg.
The brilliant Belgian scored Manchester City’s early opener against Los Blancos before setting up the second to add another ten points to his mountainous tally – he is just the second midfielder to pass 200 points this season.
Raheem Sterling (£4.4m) somehow missed out on City’s nine goals in Game Week 33 and had to make do with a 7+ rating for just three points.
However, Bukayo Saka (£5.0m) provided another penalty to pocket eight points – the young Gunner is the ninth-best midfielder in the game right now.
It was inevitable that Gabriel Jesus (£4.6m) would feature in the best XI of Game Week 33.
The Brazilian forward amassed a whopping 43 points to register the highest Game Week haul of the season.
Sterling may have missed out against Watford and Real Madrid but City’s No9 most certainly did not – he scored four at the expense of the Hornets before adding another against Carlo Ancelotti’s side on Tuesday night.
Mandi and the other 5% of gaffers who own Jesus must have been cackling with delight all week long.
You can’t ever go too wrong with Sadio Mane (£4.9m) and Mohamed Salah (£7.8m), can you?
The Senegalese superstar scored Liverpool’s second against Villarreal, assisted by his Egyptian team-mate, who also set up Robertson’s header versus Everton.
The pair combined for 17 points with Salah responsible for ten of them to move onto 318 points overall, a staggering tally.
Huge congratulations to Mandi who struck upon the perfect defence and the sensational wildcard of Jesus to top the pile.
Good luck to all gaffers ahead of Game Week 34!
