Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you’ll know that the England football team secured a historic 2-1 victory against Germany in the Women’s Euros on Sunday evening, with London’s Wembley Stadium packed out to see the Lionesses’ monumental win.
As the game went to extra time it was one of the team’s forwards Chloe Kelly who scored that all-important winning goal in the 110th minute, which pushed England ahead of their opponents to win the competition.
And while we don’t want to take away from this incredible moment for women’s football, there’s a reason the 24 year old’s brows still looked so fresh at the end of the game, as she’s partial to an ombré brows treatment.
The long-lasting treatment is loved by all sorts of celebs, from Love Island 2021 winner Millie Court to Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford. So how exactly does the process work, we hear you ask?
“Ombré brows are a semi-permanent brow treatment that involves tiny dots of pigment being airbrushed into the skin with a microneedle to create a soft shadow behind your natural hair growth,” explains Sarah Amelia Fogg, celebrity brow artist, founder of Brows By Sarah and the mastermind behind Chloe’s arches. “This gives the most natural results and is suitable for all skin types.”
“The term ombré means that the bulb of the brow is much softer than the tail to create the natural gradient of colour, giving a super natural and fluffy look,” she adds.
A top-up appointment is required within a couple of months after your initial appointment, during which your therapist will also check on the colour and shape. After that, results can last for up to a year.
Chloe’s brows were last treated at the end of 2021, so they’re clearly doing her well, as they still look super fresh.
“Ombré brows are especially perfect for any athlete like Chloe as they are natural enough to wear little to no makeup, while being 100% smudge and sweat proof,” Sarah confirms.
We’re already excited for the women’s World Cup next year!
