Kirk Sutherland first appeared on Coronation Street's cobbles in May 2000, and the character has been played by actor Andy Whyment, 39, ever since.
Kirk is the older brother of Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, and in real life the actor who plays him is happily settled down with wife, Nichola, and their two children.
Andy and his family live in a Manchester-based abode, and we get the occasional peek inside when Andy takes to his Instagram.

Back in November, the 29 year old posed with his kids in front of a very impressive hot tub.
“Thanks to the guys @thehottubsuperstore for all there help we’re absolutely made up with our new hot tub,” penned the actor.
And since its arrival, Andy and wife Nichola have made use of the luxury item in the their garden, with the star sharing a peek at them enjoying a beer amongst the bubbles.

Andy also shared a look inside his kitchen as his daughter celebrated her birthday, and it looks super stylish.
The counters are a slate grey and the cabinets are white, and floorboards run throughout the space.
Andy and his daughter have jumped aboard the TikTok trend while in lockdown, and we’ve caught a look inside the living room inside the home as a result.

Andy has opted for beige sofas and a big round cinema chair sits in the room too.
Meanwhile the family have a bright and spacious dining room with flowers and a chandelier in.
And in order to catch up with Corrie, Andy and Nichola have a huge flat screen TV which sits on a wooden stand with stylish storage baskets underneath.

Outside of the abode, the family of four have a spacious garden with plenty of space for the kids to run about, and for Andy’s hot tub.
There’s stylish decking at the side o the house with an awning to cover the hot tub on the rare occasion that it’s not in use!
Andy has been with his wife Nichola (née Willis) since they met in Manchester in 2004, with the actor telling Digital Spy the pair "really hit it off."

He said: "After we were together for a few months I thought about marriage and babies but wanted to live with each other first."
The couple tied the knot in 2007 after three years together, and celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in 2017.

He said: "She’s gorgeous! I’m a very lucky bloke. We’ve been together 14 years and we just don’t argue. We get on so well.
"I fancied Nic for some time but nothing happened. Then we copped off one night and it wasn’t too long before I realised she was the one I wanted to be with.
"I said in my wedding speech you just know when you meet the one, and that's true."
Andy and Nichola welcomed their first child, son Thomas, in 2009 and a daughter, Hollie, in 2011.
