I'm facing false accusations as my work colleagues attempt to get rid of me | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: A FALSE accusation of inappropriate behaviour has left me fearing for my career and my future.

My face doesn’t fit because I’m a gay man, so I think colleagues want me out.

I’m 35 and work with vulnerable young people.

A male colleague said I touched him and made a suggestive comment, but that’s a lie.

Now I’m terrified I’ll lose my job and everything I’ve worked for. I can’t sleep and, sometimes, I feel suicidal.

I’m suspended from work on full pay, awaiting the disciplinary process. To me it feels like a foregone conclusion – it’s my colleague’s word against mine – how can I prove my I’ve done nothing wrong?

I love my job and feel it’s my vocation.

DEIDRE SAYS:  I’m sorry. Being falsely accused of inappropriate behaviour is bad enough but the added suggestion of discrimination will make this even harder to process.
