The mother-of-one told followers that she paid $800 for a cake only to discover it was made out of Styrofoam

Yalll look at this 😒

In her first clip, which has been viewed more than five million times, Shay videoed the music-themed cake which boasted bright colors, intricate models and even featured a miniature replica of her young son.

The sweet treat was supposed to serve 60 guests but, as a fellow partygoer attempts to cut into it, the group are quick to discover that it is not all that it seems.

Shay then picks at the red paper icing no the top tier of the cake to reveal that the creation is completely made out of foam and for display purposes only.

The overlaid text read: ‘I paid $800 for a cake and treats for a party of 60 and I got a Styrofoam cake instead of a real one and to top it off 12 treats came and they were fake too for a one-year-old’s party.’

Other social media users were quick to pile into the comments to criticize the cake baker – but Shay posted a follow-up to clarifying that she was not the one at fault.

Speaking directly to camera, she began: ‘This is a little story time about the Styrofoam cake that I received for my son’s first birthday party…

‘Let me start off by saying the baker that made that cake – she not not once spoke to me, I did not know who she was, I did not know who baked my cake until the next day.

‘She did what she was asked. It had nothing to do with her – she did not defraud me, she did not make me pay that much for a fake cake, she had no knowledge of any of this.’

Shay (pictured) said that the cake and treats were included in the responsibilities of the party planner

She said that she had been tricked by a party planner who she had hired to help put on a lavish birthday bash – at a cost of $10,000 – to celebrate her one-year-old son

She said that for the party she ‘wanted the extra-ness,’ adding: ‘I was supposed to have a candy store, a toy store, candy boxes, his face was supposed to be behind every chair that I rented – stuff like that’

‘I booked a party planner – so in January I met with some lady and I told her my vision and I was just supposed to let her handle everything and I just show up.

She continued: ‘Let me start by saying that I paid almost $10K for this party because I wanted the extra-ness. I was supposed to have a candy store, a toy store, candy boxes, his face was supposed to be behind every chair that I rented – stuff like that.

‘It was supposed to be that extra and that big and I didn’t receive any of that.’

Shay said that the cake and treats were included in the responsibilities of the party planner.

The disappointed mother-of-one explained: ‘She told the cake lady that she wanted a faux cake… The lady charged [the planner] $400 for that cake who charged me $800 – so she scammed me.

‘The baker had no idea – it was the party planner.’

One wrote: ‘Nah the planner did you so dirty.’
