Henry Holland's new collection brings swirl and checkerboard trends to homeware

Tableware is getting significantly jazzier.

Designer Henry Holland has brought two of the biggest trends of the fashion world and has combined them with crockery in his latest homeware collection.

Swirl and checkerboard prints have been all over clothes and accessories for the past few months, but you can now enjoy them at the dinner table, too – thanks to Henry’s latest range.

It features hand-built ceramics with checkerboard and swirl patterns – made from rich terracotta and white clays.

And there’s something for everyone, with bold bowls, plates, mugs, fruit bowls, vases and more – all guaranteed to inject some fun into the simplest of table settings.

Henry says: ‘I’ve always loved bold graphic prints and there is something in the power of the check – it creates statement impact on designs big or small.

‘To date, my ceramics have been made from my own interpretation of the nerikomi technique which gives a striped or marbled effect that is much more organic, but for 2022 I wanted to introduce a new graphic vibe that really packed some punch.’

The colours in this range are more relaxed than the greens and blues the designer has previously used. But, due to the neutrality, they work well with a whole host of colour schemes and settings.

Prices start from £45 and pieces are available to buy from Henry Holland Studio now.
