The pet owner revealed how he began giving his hamsters a varied diet when he carried out ‘taste tests’ to understand what they liked.
‘The first thing Mr Marshmallow ever tried was some watermelon, and he loved it,’ Anton said.
‘At the start, I just tried him on some different fruits and veggies but then I decided I wanted to start making him some meals to try.’
Anton then endeavoured to find the perfect thing to fit their palates, starting out with looking on the internet for guidance.
‘I did a bunch of research and followed some recipes I found online,’ he revealed.
‘But then I decided I wanted to try and make my own things for him.’

A third quipped: ‘Better table manners than people I’ve worked with.’
