This is the moment a groom-to-be was left with 50 bruises after going paintballing in the snow while wearing a reindeer mankini.

Footage shows William Watson from Darlington, County  Durham running towards a firing squad of his father and his friends on his stag do.

The 31-year-old was only given a protective helmet and boots and the skimpy Rudolph garment to wear.

And more painfully for William, many of them didn’t explode due to the sub-zero weather conditions.

William Watson from Darlington, County Durham, was left with 50 bruises after going paintballing in the snow while wearing a reindeer mankini

He was filmed emerging from a shed on the snow-covered Raw War Paintball, in Carrwood, Lake District, Cumbria.

Courageous William then endured a 36-second onslaught, running over and round mounts while his stag party group shot at him.

William said: ‘There were 20 of them, even my dad was there. I don’t think the temperature got over 0C all day. It was so cold.

‘They just put me in the mankini and told me to run. Half of the paintballs didn’t even explode

‘It was terrifying, pretty scary. I got hit about 40 to 50 times. I am covered in bruises.’

The stag do group then enjoyed a boozy night in Lancaster on Friday (9 December).

William is set to wed fiancé Charlotte Goode, 32, on Thursday (15 December) in Northumberland.

Many people have had far worse injuries before their big day.

This is the incredible awkward moment a bride was left holding back tears after being hit by a champagne cork on her wedding day.

Footage shows the groom popping open a bottle of champagne, before the cork flies off and hits his new bride straight in her eye.

The bride recoils in pain after being hit within close range, covering her face with both hands.

The groom then turns towards his bride and appears confused.

Her described the action as terrifying and pretty scary while he was being hit with between 40 and 50 paintballs

After seeming to realise his mistake, the groom then laughs at the accident.

As the groom taps the bride and she keeps her face covered, one female guest rushes over to offer a tissue.

The groom takes the tissue before moving the bride’s hands away from her eyes and dabbing the area hit by the cork.

The news comes as two other bridges had their wedding ruined when the ceiling  at the hotel they hired collapsed just as they were cutting the cake – leaving one best man requiring hospital treatment.

Newly-married Gary and Emily Parkin were just about to slice the cake when tiles and plaster debris plummeted from the building’s ceiling.

Balloons had just been released at the Queen’s Hotel in Dundee and seconds later tiles came crashing down – forcing the two wedding parties to evacuate the building.
