Find your perfect nude lipstick colour using unusual body part

A nude lipstick is a pretty essential but the perfect nude for one woman does not equal the perfect nude for all. How can ladies find their ultimate lipstick shade once and for all to complete their makeup bag?

Many women will have some sort of nude lipstick tucked into their makeup bag.

Selecting the correct shade can be a matter of trial and error – although one expert argued it can be decided in a much easier way.

Beauty lovers may have heard the makeup myth that the perfect nude lipstick is the colour of your nipples.

One expert gave POPSUGAR her verdict on whether or not this is the case.

Celeb makeup artist Alexis Oakley said: “If you are using this method to search for a nude lipstick, it will give your the perfect nude lip for your skin tone.”

This is a pretty easy way to go about it as all ladies will need is a mirror – just make sure to try this hack at home rather than in your local makeup store.

According to a segment on The Doctors, as reported by Business Insider, your top lip is the exact same shade as your nipple.

Several women have taken to Twitter to praise the makeup hack and its effectiveness.

Back in 2018, Jenna Beth Vince tweeted: “There’s a meme going around about the perfect nude lipstick is the same shade as your nipple, all jokes aside I reckon someone’s on to something there! #girls #lipstick #nude #perfect #match #shade #WINNER.”

@juicebox_bby added: “Makeup tip 9/10 the colour of your nipple will be your perfect nude lipstick shade.”

@canuckyoutoo joked: “They say your perfect nude lipstick shade should match your nipples but whenever I try to find a match the drugstore security escorts me out.”

Alexis advised that women with fairer skin might suit a “lighter pinky nude”, while ladies with medium-toned skin would rock “more of a mauve-y toned lipstick”.

According to the expert, those are with a darker complexion could find their perfect match in a brown shade.

Experts constantly weigh on lipstick shades because they are such an essential makeup staple.

Charlene Flanagan, MUA and Co-Founder of Ella & Jo Cosmetics, previously spoke to Express.co.uk about the “most flattering” nude lipstick shade for every skin tone colour, claiming that women should look at their skin tone and eye colour.

As for lipstick looks for a women of a certain age, makeup expert Laura Kay and founder of Laura Kay London told Express.co.uk to avoid particular lipstick colours or risk looking older.
