Abbey Clancy is one busy lady from juggling a successful modelling and presenting career with being a mother of four and a supportive wife to husband Peter Crouch.
Now she has another string to her bow and has curated a denim and autumn/winter kidswear edit for F&F with prices starting at just £8 – a match made in heaven if we do say so ourselves because if there’s anyone who knows about practical on trend fashion it’s her.
Here the mum of four tells us her favourite pieces in the collection, what it was like being on set with her children Liberty and Johnny, her key wardrobe staples for the season ahead and being more sustainable with her fashion choices…
Tell us about your edit with F&F…
The edit includes all of my favourite fits; from classic skinny jeans to 90’s straight leg and tapered mom jeans. My go-to outfit is usually jeans and a top so having a wide variety of different styles and fits is important to me. I also got to work closely with F&F so you get to see how I personally style each look.
I can’t believe how great the quality is at such an affordable price. The entire collection is made from 100% BCI cotton so they are more sustainable for the environment. What I love the most is you can pop into your local Tesco for your weekly shop and end up leaving with a new wardrobe!
Being able to work with my kids Liberty and Johnny on this campaign was my favourite part and will always be such a lovely memory. They’re also modelling the F&F Kids Autumn/Winter collection including denim pieces. I was so impressed with the quality and designs the kids wear and I love all the images of them together- they had so much fun!
Do you have a favourite jean?
I love all the jeans, but my favourite piece is the contour jean as they’re so comfortable and they are flattering for every shape. I have them in every colour (black, charcoal, and blue) a good pair of skinny jeans is an important wardrobe staple.
On a normal day I like to wear a plain T and layer with my favourite F&F shacket or pair with some heels for a more dressed up look.
What are your autumn/winter staples that every woman should have?
A great pair of jeans, my favourite this Autumn/ Winter are the contour style. A stylish versatile coat suitable for any occasion and a Chelsea or heeled boot. I like to mix and match supermarket and high street fashion with designer clothing. I think people can relate to that; fashion doesn’t have to cost the earth.
Are Sophia and Liberty into fashion like you are?
Sophia, my eldest, is now 10 and she is starting to form her own style which is cool to see. Liberty is only 6 and still so young, she loves dressing like me. Her favourite piece from this collection is the denim dress and cardi – it’s also one of mine too. We have created some really cute mini me looks as part of this edit.
How was it being on set and shooting with your children?
Being a mum of 4 every day is busy and full on! This shoot was super relaxed, and we got to shoot outside in the countryside, so the children were able to run around and play all day. They had so much fun, that’s the most important thing to me. It’s always special to be able to share an aspect of your life with your children, we had a great time and made some lovely memories.
Now that we’re allowed out again, has your style changed since before the pandemic? If so, how and why?
My style hasn’t really changed but I’d say I’m more about investing in staple pieces that I really love and feel comfortable in – I try to be more sustainable where I can.
If you’re having a bad day, do you have a go-to outfit which instantly gives you a confidence boost?
I’m most confident when I feel at my best. For me something simple like putting on a great fitting pair of jeans gives me a confidence boost, I think that’s the same for most women. The great thing about this edit is that there are so many styles to choose. There's something for everyone and they’re so affordable.
What piece of fashion advice would you have given yourself 10 years ago?
I would tell my younger self to always trust my instincts.
