This week on Home and Away, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is struggling in the aftermath of learning the bikies have put out a hit on him.
His situation worsens when he learns Rose (Kirsty Marillier) is geting an award for the situation which ultimately led to him being shot. He turns to alcohol and it isn’t long before his drunken behaviour gets him in trouble.
Elsewhere, Theo (Matt Evans) and Kirby (Angelina Thomson) make a big impact online with a performance video, but when a respected music journalist wants to interview them, Remi (Adam Rowland) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) are nowhere to be found. The couple are forced to do the interview alone, but what will the rest of the band make of the story when it comes out?
Here’s what’s coming up on Home and Away for the week beginning Monday, October 17.
Heather sneaks into Marilyn’s home with disturbing plans
Heather has been slowly ingratiating herself into the community, and with Marilyn on-side she executes the next phase of her plan. Sneaking into her home in the middle of the night, she slips a photo of a baby into Marilyn’s hand, and a bottle of wine in front of her.
In the morning, Roo sees Marilyn with an almost-empty wine bottle next to her and offers her painkillers. Later, in the Diner, Heather asks if Marilyn slept well. What is Heather up to?
Cash turns to alcohol after learning Rose’s news
Xander invites Cash to Salt for lunch with him and Rose, where he reveals the news – Rose has been nominated for an award. Cash urges her to take it, saying she should be recognised for her accomplishment during the police sting. But when Cash gets home, he isolates himself in his room. Is he really coping with the discovery Rose will be awarded for a situation that got him shot?
Marilyn tells Leah a shocking truth about Heather
Roo and Heather are in the Diner finishing up a tutoring session, and they get into a discussion about adoption. Heather argues it’s immortal, but Marilyn can’t hold back and says it can be complicated. Roo explains that Marilyn has an adopted son, and Heather’s face hardens. Watching, Marilyn connects the final puzzle piece – and later, speaking to Leah, she confesses that she believes Heather is her daughter…
Drunken Cash kisses Rose in shocking scenes
Rose is having a quiet night in when she’s interrupted by an unexpected guest – Cash.
What’s more, he stumbles into the apartment, clearly drunk. He’s got a bottle of champagne to celebrate Rose’s award, but it’s clear he’s not coping. They sit and talk, and when Rose comforts him during his rambling, he leans in and kisses her. Rose pushes him away and tells him he should leave…where does this leave their relationship?
Ziggy faces pressure to make a decision over her pregnancy
Ziggy has just told Dean she’s pregnant and has no idea what to do, so the couple keep the news under wraps for now. However, Mackenzie immediately knows something is off and offers Ziggy a drink so she can vent. When Ziggy declines, Mackenzie immediately guesses Ziggy is pregnant.
She can’t contain her excitement, and she tells Dean to be honest with his girlfriend about what he wants. But Ziggy begins feeling increasingly pressured to make a decision…
Has Marilyn sent Jett a cruel and devastating text?
Marilyn has been facing questions from her friends about her mental health since newcomer Heather brushed her up the wrong way and made her convinced she was bad news. The situation escalates when John suddenly confronts her in the Diner – how could she be so cruel to Jett?
Marilyn is mystified. John shows her a text – from her own account – to Jett, saying that adopted sons are always a disappointment. Did Marilyn really do it?
Theo & Kirby take the limelight in major music interview
Theo and Kirby have been tasked with drumming up some PR for Lyrik, so they reactivate Theo’s old video channel and post a performance to it.
A well-known industry journalist contacts them after seeing the video and offers an interview. The couple scramble to get Remi and Eden home in time, but they’re nowhere to be found. They do the interview alone, and their bandmates are outraged when the interview comes out discussing the ‘couple’ who apparently make up Lyrik…
A thief steals Remi’s busking money and knocks him unconscious
Remi contemplates leaving the band in the aftermath of Theo and Kirby’s PR adventure, and he goes to blow off some steam by busking outside the Surf Club. However, he is stopped by John, who reminds him he doesn’t have a permit.
While the pair argue, a thief grabs Remi’s guitar case of loose change and bolts. Remi makes chase, but the thief whacks him with the case and sends him, unconscious, to the ground…
