Eggs are so versatile it can be hard to decide what to do with them for breakfast, lunch or even dinner.
Boiling, however, is arguably the best way to cook them as the perfect accompaniment to everything from toast and sandwiches to rice or noodles.
But one food blogger has claimed that it’s best to swap a pan of boiling water for the air fryer to achieve that desirable “jammy” texture inside.
Laurie, creator of the blog Fork to Spoon shared her easy “scrumptious”, protein-rich recipe that’s “perfect” for breakfast.
She said: “Jammy eggs are a simple, delicious breakfast dish you can make in an air fryer. It’s a great way to use excess eggs and add variety to your usual morning routine!”

While it works well for cooking just one egg at a time, the air fryer is even better for making an entire batch of them in under 15 minutes.
Unlike scrambled or poached eggs, these jammy versions are incredibly simple to make with no added ingredients.
Just place up to seven of them in a clean air fryer basket and set the appliance to 130C where they will cook for 11 minutes.

Just before the 11 minutes are up, fill a bowl with ice and water as this will be needed for later.
Once cooked, Laurie recommended “immediately” placing the eggs into the ice bath for three to five minutes before peeling.
This is crucial for making the eggs easier to peel but also to help achieve that perfectly soft and fluffy textured yolk.
If the eggs are being served straight away, peel and place them back into cool water for a few seconds.
Dry off and enjoy as part of a meal or as a standalone, protein-rich snack.
Those who don’t plan on serving the jammy eggs fresh from the air fryer should consider leaving them with the shells on in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
There are so many ways to serve them though some of Laurie’s favourites include hot sauce, red chilli flakes and cracked black pepper.
