Nothing welcomes the dawn of a new season like a brand new menu at McDonald’s.
The fast food giant has launched its summer menu – and we’re certain you’re going to be excited about what’s on offer.
Inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean, McDonald’s is bringing a taste of Italy, Spain, and Cyprus, with four new burgers, halloumi fries, a limited-edition Tiramisu McFlurry and a new summer drink.
The summer menu is split into two, and kicks off with a taste of Italy (June 8 – July 26), followed by a taste of Spain and Cyprus (July 27 – Sept 6).
The first new burger on offer is The Italian Stack – two beef patties, mozzarella, crispy onions, tomato sauce, lettuce and a smooth cheese sauce all served in a toasted tomato and herb style bun.
Poultry fans will enjoy The Crispy Chicken Italiano, featuring a crispy chicken fillet topped with a tomato slice, mozzarella, a basil pesto style sauce, red onion and lettuce served in a soft toasted ciabatta style bun.
The McFlurry is also getting a summer makeover. The Tiramisu McFlurry will see the classic soft ice cream swirled with chocolate flavoured biscuit, and a luxurious coffee and chocolate sauce.
Heading over to Spain, spice lovers will want to try the Spicy Spanish Stack, made with delicious layers of two beef patties, chilli cheddar, red onion, spicy tomato sauce and lettuce – served in a warm paprika bun.
There’s also the Chicken Fiesta, with crispy chicken fillet topped with chorizo, chilli cheddar, spicy tomato sauce, red onion and lettuce.
But the one you’re probably most excited about is the McDonald’s Halloumi Fries – on the menu in the UK for the first time. Coated in a light batter, they come served with a rich tomato dip, for that perfect dunk.
It wouldn’t be summer without a punch in hand. You can wash it all down with the Spanish Fruit Punch.
