Lidl is launching its very own range of Japanese-inspired sweet treats after they caught the attention of more than 500 million viewers on TikTok since the beginning of the year. The discount supermarket is launching various different flavours into stores including mango, vanilla, chocolate and coconut.
At the beginning of the year, the internet became obsessed with mochi, with the Little Moons versions selling out in supermarkets.
The bite-sized sweet treat consists of creamy gelato in a layer of mochi dough that has a soft and chewy texture.
They became so popular that Tesco saw a huge 700 percent increase in sales of Little Moons.
Waitrose also saw a 350 percent increase in sales.
Now, Lidl is launching its very own range, which will be available in stores nationwide from June 3.
The Vitasia Mochi Ice Cream packs from Lidl are priced at just £2.99 for a pack of six.
Perfect for the Summer, the flavours come in mango, vanilla, chocolate and fresh coconut.
Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts, fans expressed how happy they were for more affordable versions to be launching.
