One social media cook has shared how she gets through her Yorkshire puds when the rest of the roast is gone, and it couldn’t be easier.

Baker Laura Nightingale, who posts on Instagram under the username @cakeontherun, uses sugar and cinnamon to turn the puds into sweet dough balls.

Laura’s video shows her sprinkling a healthy amount of sugar and cinnamon into a bowl, before rolling the leftover Yorkshires in the mixture.

And voilà – the puds have become a moreish dessert that Laura has dubbed ‘cinnamon sugar dough balls.’

Some might balk at the idea of sweet Yorkshire puddings, but don’t forget that pancake mix is exactly the same as Yorkshire pudding batter – the differences are just the shape and how you cook them.

So, if you’ve got a sweet tooth, it makes perfect sense to turn your leftover puds into a doughy dessert.

While plenty of people in the comments have shared how tasty the results look, others have pointed out the only hard part of the recipe – having leftover Yorkshires in the first place.

One person wrote: ‘Leftover Yorkies? I don’t understand.’

Another commented: ‘I’ve never experienced this leftover Yorkies like this – the other urban myth is leftover mashed potato! These do look amazing though.’
