Woman red-faced after accidentally flashing neighbours thanks to really easy error – can you work out how it happened? | The Sun

A WOMAN has been left red-faced after realising she accidentally flashed her neighbours despite installing something that would make it impossible for people to see through her windows.

Lauren took to her TikTok account to recount the story as she told viewers: “If I look red it’s because I’m so f***ing embarrassed. I could fry an egg on my face.”

“I don’t know what to tell you,” she continued, covering her face. “I live in a terraced house, I’ve got no front garden so people just go past my house anytime they want to.

“And sometimes they like to have a quick look in, being nosey bastards and a lot of times they found me on the sofa looking like some sort of melted person just watching something on TV.”

Explaining that she’d had enough of people being able to see her every move, she bought a mirrored film from eBay.

It meant she would be able to see out, but no one would have the ability to see into her home.

“You know, like protecting my modesty,” she said. “I was incredibly proud of myself and sent everyone pictures…”

She then put a snap of her window up on the screen, which demonstrated how the film reflected the street back at people.

“There you go, you can’t see a thing,” she said.

Returning to her story, @lauren1084 told viewers that on this night she had been sitting on the sofa again when an incident occurred.

“I felt a spot on my tit and went, oh let me just check that out,” she continued. “I sat there with my boob out and sort of being quite smug thinking well people can’t see in and stuff.

“I’ve been staring at people in the past being a proper nosey b***h. Someone was having a conversation outside and I just sat near the window.

“I think you know what’s coming…”

Sharing a photo of her window from the outside, Lauren discovered the mirrored film didn’t work and people could see directly into her living room.

“You can totally see in,” she said. “Obviously it only works in daylight then. I hate myself.”

“I’d never had known either if I hadn’t nipped out to take a pic to show off my handy work,” [sic] she added in the caption.

Viewers were left in hysterics over the story and flooded the comments section with their own stories, too.

“Absolutely dead – same thing happened to us for 5 months we didn’t realise everyone could see us showering… eventually the neighbours told us…” one person wrote.

Another said: “I’m dead something I would do this x,” [sic] to which Lauren replied: “I swear I’m mortified mate,” with a laughing emoji.
