The rise of the barely-there bodystocking from Kim Kardashian's lace look to Noah Cyrus's near-naked CMT suit

THEY are the unforgiving outfits that leave little to the imagination – but bodystockings are all the latest must-have fashion craze for models and celebrities alike.

Singer Noah Cyrus made headlines with her near naked look at the 2020 CMT Music Awards this week, braving a transparent stocking with strategically-placed gems for her duet with Jimmie Allen.

Miley’s little sister, 20, looked sensational, teaming the look with long white gloves, boots and, naturally, a cowboy hat at the country music bash in Nashville.

But she’s not alone in daring to bare in the revealing trend.

Stars from Rihanna and Kim Kardashian to Winnie Harlow have ensured the barely-there bodystocking is a firm favourite of the catwalk and red carpet.

Kim Kardashian's designer sparkles

Trendsetter Kim Kardashian latched on to the style early on, sporting a number of bodystockings over the last couple of years.

The reality star – who turned 40 this week – rocked a sparkling, silver Versace suit in Paris in 2019, with a pair of strappy heels.

In another snap which screamed pure glamour, she also teamed a sexy lace look with a pair of black culottes.

Rihanna's animal instinct

Rihanna looks like the cat that got the cream as she poses for the Interview magazine cover, in 2019.

The sheer leopard print catsuit showed off her incredible figure as she lounged on a white leather sofa, draped in a luxurious fur.

Pure feline fun.

Khloe and Kourtney shimmer in suits

Just like big sister Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian know how to make an impact in a revealing outfit.

In post on her Instagram, shortly after allegations that partner Tristan Thompson had cheated on her with Jordyn Woods,36-year-old Khloe rocked a holographic bodysuit that showed her errant ex just what he was missing.

In the same shot, which also featured half-sister Kendall Jenner, Kourtney, 41, wore a totally transparent silver bodysuit over black underwear.

Winnie Harlow's catsuit

Winnie Harlow proved she was queen of the catwalk when she chose a sheer leopard print bodysuit for the Met Gala, in 2019.

The Canadian model dared to bare under the suit, wearing just a white thong to maintain her modesty.

Definitely a Winn-ing look.

Nicki Minaj's Bang-ing lace

Nicki Minaj was ahead of the curve when it came to the trend, sporting a body-hugging lace suit at a benefit concert in 2016.

The Bang Bang singer, 37, protected her modesty with a black thong and crosses of tape as she sashayed down the red carpet.

But the bodysuit definitely showed off her Super Bass to its best advantage.

Bella Hadid's mesh-age

Model Bella Hadid could have been the catch of the day at the Met Gala in 2017, when she wowed the red carpet in a black net bodystocking.

While the mesh suit clung to every curve, the weave was thick enough not to require any extra modesty measures for the stunning 24-year-old.

Sexy but safe.

Roxy Horner silver stocking

British model Roxy Horner showed her 'metal' in the fashion stakes when she chose a iron-look bodystocking for London Fashion Week last year.

The 29-year-old – who is currently dating Jack Whitehall – flashed a tantalising amount of flesh in the metallic unitard at the Julien McDonald event.

New York Fashion Week is the place to pull out all the stops, and Tinashe clearly wanted to make an impression this year.

The singer, 27, channelled Rihanna's look in the sheer leopard print catsuit for the Laquan Smith show – throwing over a hot red raincoat just in case a spot of rain made the suit even more transparent.
