LET'S be honest – if it wasn't such a faff, we'd happily bake a batch of brownies every week.
But if the washing up wasn't enough to turn us off the idea, then messing around with baking paper certainly is.
That said, one savvy mum has shared her foolproof hack for getting the parchment to fit your tray first time – and we can't believe we never thought to do it before.
Earlier this month, Australian mum-of-two Belinda shared the hack with her 9,500 Instagram followers.
Walking her fans through the easy process, the mum started by roughly cutting enough baking paper to cover the tray.
Next, she quickly rinsed the crumbled bit of paper under the tap for a few seconds and then places it in the tin.
Raving about the method, the mum said the water helps the paper mould to the tin and also stops her baked goods from sticking to the sides.
She continued: "We are done here, no tears in the paper, no greasy butter and no chance the batter will stick to the 'non-stick' tins."
Needless to say, we weren't the only ones left stunned by the easy life hack.
One replied: "Even just crunching it in a ball without the water can help!"
We are done here, no tears in the paper, no greasy butter and no chance the batter will stick to the 'non-stick' tins.
"YESSS," another wrote. "Amazing!"
A third gushed: "I needed this today! Making my son's birthday cake."
