My sister put her daughter up for adoption because she didn't want a girl – she's a monster, I'm fighting for custody

A WOMAN has revealed how her sister put her two-year-old daughter up for adoption after giving birth to a son, because she "she couldn't care for two kids".

But the heartbroken aunt, who found out over a zoom call with her family, says it's because she "didn't want a daughter" – and now she's fighting for custody.

After *Candice gave birth to a little boy during the pandemic, the family arranged a Zoom call so they could meet the newborn baby.

The anonymous woman said she was also thrilled to meet her new nephew and also see her niece again,so asked if she could say hi.

But the mood changed when the woman's sister allegedly revealed she'd given her up for adoption without telling anyone – and at that point "everyone lost it."

“My sister very quietly said that she didn’t have her because at the beginning of January 2021 she put her daughter up for a closed adoption because she couldn't care for two kids,” the woman shared on Reddit last year.

“Everyone lost it. The whole zoom was a mess. We didn't know.

“We never got to say goodbye. She didn't have to do this because any one of us would have taken my niece.”

This shock revelation especially upset her as she felt like she considered herself to be the perfect person to look after Candice’s daughter.

“I’m currently pregnant, I am stable, own a home and have the resources to take a toddler as well as have my baby,” she explained.

The anonymous woman went on to say that she had actually already begun the adoption process several years ago after experiencing “multiple miscarriages/fertility issues”, so it would have been easy for Candice to transfer the care of her daughter to her sister.

“But I know my sister and I know deep down she just didn't want a daughter,” Brianna claimed.

“She was depressed when she found out she was having a girl but thrilled for this entire recent pregnancy with a boy.

“My sister always said she wanted to be a boy mom so she gave up her daughter to focus on that.”

So in front of their entire extended family, the devastated woman lost it at her sister, even going as far as to call Candice a “narcissistic c**t.”

"I lost it at my sister after she adopted her daughter," Brianna angrily recalled.

“I asked her when she'd get bored of the new baby and get rid of that one too.

“I asked her how the hell she could do this without reaching out to the family. I called her a monster for making children she didn't want to care for like they were a novelty.”

I called her a monster for making children she didn't want to care for like they were a novelty.

In the end, the only thing that made her calm down was when the sisters’ grandmother grabbed at her chest and had a panic attack.

But by then the damage was well and truly done, with Candice refusing to speak to anyone in the family.

As a result, everyone ended up being furious with Brianna as they felt like she shouldn’t have lost it at her sister.

But Brianna decided that their anger was simply misplaced sadness about the fact that no one in the family got to say goodbye to Candice’s daughter.

So she decided to do something about it – contacting a lawyer as well as Child Services and the local courts to try to get the adoption reversed.

“I didn’t realise how many options I had to fight this,” she said.

I'm going to fight my sister for custody of her kids.

"I'm going to fight my sister for custody of her kids.

“I feel like I might extra suck for this but I may try to go for her son's custody too.

“I’m trying to figure out if that's an option.

“My sister has a past with drugs and instability. She, apparently, gave up one child for being unable to care. I feel if the adoption is valid I could use that as a reason to why she shouldn't keep the second child.

“This has been a nightmare. Thank you again to those with helpful suggestions and feedback.”
