The first British monarch to be crowned in 70 years, King Charles III’s Coronation will take place on Saturday. As with any major royal event, fashion will be a hot topic of discussion. In light of this, bookmakers have predicted Kate Middleton is more likely to wear blue to the Coronation than red, another colour she enjoys wearing.
OLBG has shared the bookies’ odds with Express.co.uk, including Kate’s anticipated dress colour and potential celebrity attendees.
The Princess of Wales informed This Morning host Alison Hammond that “there is a hint of blue” in her dress during the royal couple’s April visit to Birmingham.
According to the most recent betting odds, Kate will wear blue to the Coronation. Bookmakers now have the colour as the 4/6 favourite.
Nigel Skinner, the Current Affairs Betting Expert at OLBG, told Express.co.uk: “Bookies now say there’s a 60 percent chance that Kate Middleton’s dress is blue.
“Reports back in April suggested that Middleton has alluded to a ‘hint of blue’ in her dress!”
The second most likely colour for Kate to wear at the Coronation is green, according to betting experts.
With odds at 9/2, Kate has an 18.2 percent chance of wearing green at the historic royal ceremony.
In joint third place, Kate has a 14.3 percent chance of wearing either red or pink at the Coronation, with odds at 6/1.

The Princess could also wear yellow at the ceremony, but there is similarly only a 14.3 percent chance of this happening.
Finally, the only other option considered for the Princess is white or cream, but again the odds of this happening are just 6/1.
Bookies have also given the odds on Prince William’s tie colour that he will wear at his father’s Coronation.
It is hardly surprising that blue is also a top choice here as William and Kate are anticipated to match in colours during the Coronation.
Bookmakers estimate that there is a 52 percent possibility that William will be wearing a blue tie for Saturday’s major event.
This has given the colour blue a little edge in this betting market with odds at 10/11.
Kate and William have often matched in the colour blue before, including at the most recent Easter Sunday service and their outing in Merseyside soon after Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was released.
Bella Hignett, the founder of Bella Hignett Styling previously told Express.co.uk: “Kate and William try to present a united front wearing matching colours – all very carefully thought through.
“A carefully curated togetherness. But safe and non-ostentatious like them – not giving too much away.
“Blue represents authority (blue blood etc), trust, intelligence and loyalty. A lot of politicians wear navy suits when they are delivering important speeches and messages.
“It’s often the colour I choose for my clients who are high up in the industry and want to exude power but not in an aloof way like black can.
“This all reminds me so much of Princess Diana who wore clothes to such a powerful effect. Clothes can subtlely say so much.”
