AS a hired bridesmaid in over 125 weddings, author Jen Glantz shared tips for on what to do and avoid on your big day.

Glantz was put off from having a lavish ceremony from her work but these tips can help any bride-to-be make the most of their day.

Glantz shared wedding planning tips and tricks in an article for Insider.

For the first tip, Glantz shared that its not the best idea to focus on providing excessive food options or worry about small decorations.

It's also good to keep the wedding guests and others in mind when planning the ceremony.

It's also okay to not invite everyone to your special day.

According to Glantz, its best not to have loud music over power people talking during the ceremony.

"I don't think a wedding should feel like a nightclub. They're social events, and endless noise can upset guests and persuade them to leave as early as possible," Glantz said in the article.

It's better to skip out on the band or DJ and instead decided to play music from a speaker or phone so you could have control of the volume during the ceremony.

Also, instead of spending money on decorations most people won't recognize, limit the amount of decor at the ceremony and save money.

Instead of trying to provide an endless amount of food, asking your guests what they want beforehand is more beneficial.

Choosing to provide more food options for the wedding guests can result in wasting food.

The best part of the wedding is the ceremony but having a long-winded ceremony isn't beneficial for anyone.

"In an effort to have a meaningful ceremony that wouldn't leave everyone tapping their toes and eyeing the refreshments, I decided to keep it to 25 minutes — any longer and people get antsy," Glantz said in the article.

There is no need to invite everyone to the wedding if that means unnecessary drama on your big day.

"Weddings make people emotional and stressed out. But I vowed from day one of planning that I wouldn't allow drama at my celebration," Glantz said in the article.
