I’m a wedding planner – your bridesmaid dresses say a lot about you – it’s bad news if you want a princess style | The Sun

THERE'S lots to consider when it comes to planning a wedding, and one thing that is extremely important is the wedding party's outfits.

They will be in most photos of the wedding for you to look back on for years, not only that, but a wedding expert has revealed the style you choose for your bridesmaids can reveal a lot about you.

White bridesmaid dresses

Many people think anyone wearing white other than the bride is a big no-no, but it seems to be coming around a lot more.

And it could symbolise you're a bit of a perfectionist.

Marie Kubin, CEO of Rent My Wedding said: You're not worried about sharing the spotlight with your bridesmaids.

"Dare we say you're also a bit of a perfectionist?

"Your wedding will be on point, with crisp table linens, neatly arranged escort cards, and not so much as a fork out of place."

Princess gowns

For those who always envisioned their wedding as their own fairytale then your bridesmaids may be sporting a Princess dress.

But to make sure the day is fairytale perfect, you might also become a bit of a bossy boots and Bridezilla.

The expert said: "You have a larger-than-life personality.

"You may or may not have been overheard telling your bridesmaids, 'It's my day and you'll wear what I say!'"

Different Coloured dresses

If you're allowing your bridesmaids to wear different colours, then you're probably feeling chilled about the day and just want your guests to have a good time.

"You are a true free-spirit, you're probably even letting the bridesmaids choose their own colours, because you're just that chill," Marie adds.

"Your wedding will be filled with entertainment for guests, like yard games at cocktail hour."

Short frocks

If you've selected short bridesmaid dresses for your girls to wear, then you're probably more interested in the after party rather than the ceremony.

The expert revealed: "You're a fun-loving bride with a practical side.

"You can't wait to hit the dance floor with your besties, and it's so much easier to bust out those dance moves in a short dress."

It also means you're thinking of your bridesmaids as you know how expensive the dresses can be.

"You want your bridesmaids to be able to wear their dresses again for other events," adds Marie.

Cowl Neck designs

If you've been using Pinterest to plan your wedding then you've probably settled on your bridesmaids having a cowl neck designed dress.

While it may point to you being a trendy person, it also suggests you're a bit controlling.

The wedding expert explained: "You've grilled your wedding planner on the latest wedding trends, and will be incorporating every single one of them for your big day."

Sage green dresses

Sage green is the colour to pick this season, almost everyone is loving it as an accent colour for their wedding day.

And the wedding expert revealed that if you plan to dress your bridesmaids in this then you're laid back.
