NOTORIOUS for their jumbo-sized packaged food and $1 snack bar, Costco is the exclusive country club when it comes to grocery stores.
And like a country club, membership is required upon entry- but not anymore.

Addison shares everything from wedding hacks to secret store discounts with her followers.
She recently posted a TikTokrevealing her tip for how you can shop at Costco without a membership.
Typically, customers are required to show their Costco membership card at the door before entering the warehouse.
A basic "Gold Star Membership" is $60 annually.
"You want to shop at Costco, but you don't want to pay for a membership… Don't worry; I got you," she says.
Rather than showing up with a membership card, Addison says to show up with a gift card.
Costco "shop cards" can be purchased on eBay or from a member.

These "shop cards" never expire, so once you have one, you can use it for as long as you want.
The best part is you can refill and add money to the card online.
Additionally, the card is eligible for use at any Costco warehouse or gas station.
Viewers suggested taking someone else's membership card as a less convenient option.
Others brought up the point: that while there is no yearly fee with this option, this card is somewhat similar to membership.
"Or you can buy the membership with 2% reward and if you shop enough you will get that money you spent on the membership back in a check," one person recommended.
Another viewer claimed: "You can get the membership and cancel it before 1 year, they’ll refund you. No money wasted."
