Understated sexy
There's no worse feeling than being too dressed up or too underdressed when it comes to meeting a guy for the first time.
So an understated sexy vibe could just be the look for you.

And according to Karen, this can be achieved with "baggy 90s style jeans teamed with a fitted white T-shirt and oversized blazer."
To finish the look, she recommends pairing them with Jordan 1’s or a plain white trainer.
But if that's not your thing, Karen suggests: "Try a denim or cotton jumpsuit teamed with a stiletto – or swap out the stiletto for a trainer if that’s more you."
She also advises opting for neutrals and elevating your look with pops of bright colours.

Classic
Karen has nothing but praise when it comes to an oversized white shirt – and is such a fan that she often includes them in her edits.
"I think they give a no nonsense vibe but can be styled in a fashion forward way that doesn’t look corporate just cool," she explains.
"Try styling your white shirt tied up at the waist, above a high-waisted cream or white straight jean."
The fashion stylist notes that this is best with shirts that have slits up the sides so you can create that hi-low effect at the back and front.
"Add in a pointed boot or trainer and accessorise with a cute bag of your choice," she continues.

"You can also try your white shirt tucked fully in or just half tucked in to blue or grey jeans, or even a pair of trusty black leggings."
"Pull out that classic camel trench, pop on a loafer and this is the timeless classic look that says you are a well put together babe."
Pretty Cool
If you're looking to ooze cool, then Karen has the perfect date outfit suggestion for you.
"A cute, long colourful or neutral dress with a statement puff sleeve teamed with a white boot or trainer is always a great look," she says.
"You could even throw a pointed kitten heel in the mix for understated glam gorgeous-ness."
And if you like to go short, the stylist has some useful advice.
"A printed A-lined dress teamed with a chunky sandal or chunky boot will always work," she recommends.
"Toughen the look up with this season's pastel bike jacket and 90’s-inspired bag."
Jewellery
Karen notes that when it comes to jewellery and shoes, it's a very personal choice.
"I’m not a statement jewellery girl but if you are and you like to go oversized and bold – then go for it – remember being yourself is key!" she explains.
I’ve gone off skinny jeans and much prefer the 90s baggy vibe at moment
"If your date doesn’t like your accessories then you’re not a match!"
And the fashion stylist also has a top tip for ensuring all eyes remain on you during your date.
"Keep your date looking at your face with big colourful earrings or classic small gold hoops," she says.
"Chunky gold necklaces look great too but I like a bit more subtle with a fine necklace and gorgeous pendant."
DEFINITE NO-GO'S
Karen warns that being in an overly sexy outfit on a first date could set the wrong tone.
"Depending on what you want from the date, this could influence your outfit choice," she says.
"Sadly I still think that if you’re looking for a keeper you’ll want them to see your brain and not your breasts."
"I would suggest avoiding crop tops, too much cleavage and short skirts – keep it cute and clean."
However, as a stylist she notes that she does like to see the beauty in most items of clothing.
"Instead of saying I don’t like a specific thing, I like to keep an open mind and think how can I make this work now," she explains.
