WITH Christmas done and dusted, it means we’re onto the next exciting thing – the boxing day sales.
While some of us might be avoiding the chaos, one savvy mum has shared her budget haul after she started queueing for the Next sale at 4 am – and people can’t believe the bargains she found.
Kelly Whitaker, known online as @kel.m.whit, regularly shares parenting and money-saving tips with her 13,600 TikTok followers.
In a new video, she shared what she managed to get at Next’s Boxing Day sale – including a luxe-looking rug she’d been lusting after for ages.
“So I’m back home after a very successful trip to the Next sale and I thought I’d show you what I’ve got.
“The main thing that I went in for was something that I tried to get on the VIP slot online and it had sold out, so I am over the moon.

“I literally ran, as soon as the door opened, ran to the homeware section and they got one, so I grabbed it and paid for it right there and then.
“This beautiful velveteen green rug and it’s something that I’ve wanted for my living room for ages.
“It was originally priced up at £140, and I’ve paid £75 for it today.
“Now I know that sounds like a lot of money, but it’s an investment and hopefully it’s something that I’ll keep for a long time.

Kelly then goes on to show the rest of her bargain haul – including presents for her sisters and nieces for next Christmas.
“So pretty much all of this is to be put up for next Christmas because I like to be organised.
“So I’ve got two rolls of wrapping paper. I know these are a little bit worse for wear, but I don’t mind.
“These were originally £5 a roll and I paid £2 a roll, so that’ll be ideal for my son’s stuff because I always wrap his stuff up in different paper to my daughter.
“Then for my youngest niece for Christmas next year, I’ve got this animal bath toy set, marked down from £15 to £6.50.
“Then for one of my sisters next year, I’ve got these two ‘Merry & Bright’ gift sets.
“One is bath fizzers and face masks and stuff, and then the other’s hair masks.
“They were marked down from £10 to £4.50, and from £18 to £5, so they were a bargain.
“Then for the other sister next year, I’ve got this really nice festive LED candle set which is actually scented.
“Now I don’t know what the original price was of this because it’s covered up, but I paid £9 for it today.
“Then for my two older nieces, I’ve got these really nice Santa mug and marshmallow sets. These were marked down from £12 to £5.
“And then for me, I just couldn’t resist, I’ve got this dead cute gingerbread necklace and earring set, which originally was £10.50 and I’ve paid £3.
“Then for me for now I’ve picked up this really nice shacket dress-thing, originally £28. I paid £14.
“Then I got my son’s Christmas eve pyjamas for next year. I paid £12.50 for these. Originally they were £30.
“Then very quickly, PJs for my daughter marked down from £28 to £12.”
Fans loved the bargain hunter’s haul, with the video gaining more than 340 likes and 25,000 views.
