WHEN you know someone is paying for your meal, there's an unspoken rule – don't choose the most expensive thing on the menu.
So one mum, from the US, was left raging when she invited her daughter's friend out for a meal, only for her to then order the "expensive" seafood at dinner.
In the short clip, Pamela Davis can be seen taking a video of the friend's plate which is piled high with pricey lobster and other expensive seafood.
And the revelation over whether the girl was in the wrong to order whatever she fancied has sparked quite the debate online.
Many took to the comments section and agreed they would've been left raging, too.

A third added: "I would be so embarrassed if my friend did this to my mum, with a fourth commenting: "Couldn't be me I always try to order the most cheapest thing."
Another joked: "I'd be too scared to even order something when i’m with my friends parents lol."

"See…this is why I hate when people offer to pay!" wrote one. "I'd rather pay for myself and be able to get what I want. I hate having to order an item I don't."
Another agreed: "When you offer to pay then you can't be mad at people who order what they want. Don't offer then."
