But this wife got the shock of her life when she discovered her husband had been keeping a huge secret.

This Reddit user shared that his wife is threatening divorce after she found out about his secret children.

After being together for 12 years and having three children together, the couple seemed to be the perfect family.

But his doting wife was completely unaware that before they met, her husband had donated his sperm to one of his classmates.

After a bunch of legal papers, the user got wind that his classmate and her wife had had a baby.

He claims he completely forgot about it, until over 20 years later when he bumped into them, with his wife.

"Their son looks EXACTLY like me, to the point where it was uncomfortable.

"Their daughter looks like my sister, they introduced us it was awkward but pleasant. My wife was completely blindsided," he admitted.

The users wife couldn't believe hat he'd keep such a huge secret from her, even if he signed a contract saying he wouldn't talk about it.

"She's really struggling with the facts that our kids have siblings.

"I try to tell her that they don't that they aren't my kids and their mothers mean literally nothing to me."

Despite his best efforts, the Reddit user's wife was furious at the discovery and felt betrayed.

her husband said: "I am taking whatever reaction she throws at me because I understand that she is shocked and upset."

Other users couldn't believe he kept such a huge secret from his wife for over a decade.

"If I knew my husband had donated sperm it wouldn't bother me – if he knew that had resulted in a child and hadn't mentioned that to me I'd have felt hurt and lied to."

Another added: "Biologically fathering children to me seems to be one of those major life events that should be disclosed at some point in 12 years."

Finally, a third said: "With the rise of DNA ancestry kits, I think at this point it is something to tell a SO otherwise they could be blindsided down the road."
