I did a £180 B&M homeware haul to transform my room – I’m ditching the grey, I got so much unreal stuff | The Sun

A SAVVY shopper has revealed everything she bought in a huge £180 B&M haul, after vowing to transform her room from cold grey to cosy beige.

Rachel shared that she managed to bag a new rug, cushions, bedding and accessories for that price when visiting her local store in Bangor, Wales.

The content creator, known online as @rachel.johnstonn, regularly shares interior design and fashion tips with her 21,300 followers.

In a new TikTok reel, she said: “Right, I’m going to show you what I got. I’m literally so excited.

“B&M is literally unreal for buying home stuff on a budget. I am obsessed.

“Right, the first thing I got was this rug. I have one right now, it’s grey and it’s unreal, so I got – what colour would you call this? Beige?

“My room’s really cold at the moment and there’s a lot of grey in it so I wanted to get stuff that’s going to make it feel a bit warmer, and I thought this was a good colour.

“It’s actually really soft as well, by the way. I’d definitely recommend.”

Next, the TikTokker shared a range of things she bought for her bed, including a beige fitted sheet, a new throw and a range of pillows.

She added: “Right so I got this beige sheet. I don’t know about yous, but I hate white bedsheets so when I saw this colour, I thought ‘that will be perfect’ because say if you’ve got tan on or bronzing lotion like it rubs off on white sheets.

NOT SORRY

I used to have big boobs – I got a breast reduction & now I’m being trolled

SCENT-SATIONAL

I’m trolled for nabbing loads of a 50p B&M bargain… I don’t get the problem

“I always get a size up in the sheets, so like this is a king size. I have a double bed but it means that it doesn’t ping off the corner.

“Then I got a two-pack of pillowcases because I really needed these because the ones I have at the minute are dark grey and they just don’t match at all.

“Got some cushions, I am so excited about these.

“I got two bigger-sized ones. How unreal are they? They’re bigger than your average-sized cushion but they’re so soft, and I just really liked the design on them.

“I got two of those and then I got two smaller ones as well.

“They’ve got a really nice texture, and I just thought it would look so nice in my bed.”

In the comments, Rachel confirmed the larger cushions cost £12, while the little ones only set her back £8.

She continued: “Then I also got this throw for the end of my bed. It’s like the same sort of material as the cushions, maybe a wee bit more textured, but I just thought it would be beaut.

“I also got this gold bed tray. It’s actually quite big.

“I have one at the minute but it’s a good bit smaller and it’s silver so it doesn’t really match in with all the stuff I’ve got.

“I thought this one was beaut and you can actually use it as a mirror as well.

“I also got this organiser tray. They come flat but obviously, they fold out.

“But they’re also the same material as the throw and the cushions, so everything’s going to tone in.

“I got these for my drawers, or else if they don’t fit I’m just going to have them out to put all my bits in because I hate when there’s stuff lying about the place.

“Then I got a few ornament sort of bits. So I got this. To be honest, looking at it from afar, I thought it was unreal.

“See the more I’ve looked at it, like wait till you see. Like that bit there, what is that? Is that meant to be there?

“Any way I can cut them off. But I thought the actual vase part of it was really nice and it would look really cute sat on one of those shelves.

“Then I got this reed diffuser. I thought it was unreal, and it was only a fiver.

“I kind of thought it was just like a wee ornament, but apparently it does actually smell like vanilla.

“And then I thought this was so cute, it’s like a wee candle. To be honest, I probably won’t use it as a candle, I’ll probably just use it for a decoration.

She added: “All of that came to about £140, but to be honest I think it’s actually unreal.

“Because that rug, for example, you would literally pay £70 for that somewhere.”

Fans loved her homeware haul, with the video gaining more than 23,800 likes and 266,900 views.

In the comments, other B&M fans shared their thoughts on what she picked up, with one writing: “Obsessed with this.”
