A MILLION dollars and your most confident self – that's how you should feel after visiting the hairdressers and paying a fortune for a new look.

But unfortunately, 24-year-old Leanne Deliah, from Berlin, Germany, left looking like a rat had been eating her hair.

Mortified by the reflection in the mirror, the selt-titled ''part time rockstar'' shared the horrific hair tragedy on TikTok, where it's since gone viral.

Still stunned at just how terrible her new hairdo looks, Leanne said in the video: ''The hairdresser f***ed up my hair so badly you won't believe this.''

In the brunette's head, she would leave the salon rocking a trendy short wolf cut with layers; something she seems to have been going for a while now.

But instead, there were random strands of hair coming from the back – and to make matters worse, they were all of different lenghts.

The random layers, as well as the choppy technique, made for a pretty messy look – one that she wasn't hoping for.

Horrified and unsure what to do, Leanne wrote in the caption: ''my hair looks like it got eaten by rats.''

Of course, she also proceeded to post a Private Story on Instagram, so her friends could see the disaster – and it's safe to say they were all both shocked and in hysterics.

Whilst some wondered if the salon was going to fix the mess, others pointed out that at least she wasn't ''ugly''.

Despite the major fail, Leanne was quick to find a positive: ''at least we can laugh about it.''

Social media users flocked to comments to share their thoughts, with one angry person writing: ''hair dressers really need to start saying "sorry, I don't know how to do that".''

Someone else penned: ''i literally cut my friend’s hair with children’s scissors today and it was about a million times better than this.''

Recently, another woman suffered a major fail when visiting a salon and asking for a cute rose ombré.

In fact, she was so disappointed with her new hairdo, she immediately chugged a big glass of red wine the second she got home.

Desperate for a makeover, mum-of-two Marie Kay decided to go for the big chop and have her locks dyed dusty pink – however, things didn't quite go as planned and she shared the hair horror story on TikTok.

At first, Marie showed in the now-viral clip, things were off to a good start – the long locks were chopped off and the hairdresser then proceeded to slather on bleach for the desired ombré effect.

Excited, Marie kept filming the process throughout the appointment.

But rather than a jaw-dropping Before and After, Marie's new hairdo ended up a total flop, with random patches of red all over the top of her head.

Taking snaps of her fresh locks, the mum said she was ''smiling through the disappointment''.

''This video was SUPPOSED to be that trendy hair transformation video.

''When rose ombré says you can’t sit with them….'' she chuckled in the caption.

Warning fellow beauty lovers to be more careful, Marie went on to add: ''This is your sign to not trust anyone.''
