Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is the Royal Patron of the learning disability charity Mencap. The Duchess looked beautiful today as she arrived for their inaugural summit at St Bartholomew’s Hospital today.
Sophie wore one of her favourite coats for the occasion, her gorgeous cream coat by Loewe.
The boxy, on-trend design of the garment included long sleeves and a collarless V-neck.
It costs £1,275, which makes it an expensive purchase, but it can be paired with just about anything, from comfortable clothes to elegant gowns.
The Duchess has owned this coat since 2018 and it’s a trusted piece for Sophie who often wears it at royal engagements.
The description says: “This cream cashmere coat is a true testament to Loewe’s rigorous focus on fine craftsmanship.
“The cocoon-inspired shape features a collarless V-neckline and long sleeves that fall from dropped shoulder seams and is left unlined to retain a considered lightweight feel.
“Layer it over a casual T-shirt and true-blue jeans as part of a pared-back weekend edit.”
Sophie paired her coat with an Emilia Wickstead “Richie” skirt in snake print.

The Duchess has also worn this skirt since 2018. Its description says: “This Emilia Wickstead Richie Skirt features a high rise waist, with an a-line silhouette and soft pleats throughout.”
Unfortunately, it is no longer in stock, so it is unclear how much it cost at the time of purchase.
Sophie additionally wore a light pink blouse and a thick brown leather belt with a massive diamond-shaped silver buckle in the centre.
Sophie showed her similar fashion tastes to another royal, because she carried a designer clutch bag that Queen Maxima of The Netherlands also owns.
The bag in question was the Sophie Habsburg “Moneypenny” clutch bag, which costs a whopping £342.
Although the Duchess of Edinburgh has owned this bag since 2018, Maxima has owned it since 2017.
The bag is described as having “leather clutches with a geometrical flap”.
