Move over millennial pink, bold bubblegum is taking over.

It’s the shade that nobody could have predicted the return of, but if the autumn/winter 2022 collections are to be believed, bright bursts of bubblegum pink are about to be as prolific as they were in the early 00s.

Indeed, during Copenhagen Fashion Week, Ganni made the case for Barbie-approved shades of pink, while fellow Danish stalwart Baum und Pferdgarten endorsed it in the form of butter-soft velvet puffer jackets and slinky skirts. The highlighter hue was endorsed equally by London designers, with Eudon Choi crafting it into poplin midi dresses and statement shirts.

Eudon Choi’s autumn/winter 2022 collection was full of bold and bright bursts of bubblegum pink.

In case it wasn’t already clear: come on Barbie, let’s go party has taken on a whole new meaning. How, though, do you wear the punchy shade, you may be wondering? According to the runways, with ease. As is the case with colourblocking, oft-times going head-to-toe makes embracing bold colours easier, but for the faint of fashion heart, employ the use of statement separates as a way of dipping your toe into the trend.

Embrace bubblegum pink by wearing it head-to-toe.

As we hurtle towards spring and its promise of warmer weather, there’s no better time to embrace bright bursts of colours that spark joy. And none do it quite like bubblegum shades of pink. These are the pieces we’re loving most at the moment.
