Japanese design label VISVIM will drop an automotive-inspired capsule collection, dubbed “VISVIM MOTORS CLUB,” next month. Spanning ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear, the gas-pumping range is a result of founder Hiroki Nakamura’s longtime love for vintage vars and their intricate compositions.
“There are vibrations that can be felt from the steering wheel and accelerator pedal, as well as smells and sounds that come from the engine,” he said in a statement. “It’s not simply just a way to get from point A to point B. These are things you don’t have to think about with a new car, but each and every one of these details is what makes driving an old car fun.”
The collection includes a total of 13 garments, each of which are made to enhance the driving experience. Among them, the Coach Down Jacket reads “VISVIM MOTORS CLUB” across its back in white font, and the Mechanics Coveralls offer an elevated take on signature workshop wares. Knit T-shirts and sweaters don the capsule’s iconography in blue and neutral tones, while the Excelsior Cap hosts branded motifs and the Driver Folk shoes are built to accelerate.
“VISVIM MOTORS CLUB” will launch on Saturday, September 9, through various stockists. Take a look at the collection in the campaign imagery above.
In more fashion news, the Supreme x MF DOOM collaboration is rumored to be arriving soon.
