After collaborating with Rick Owens over recent seasons, Veja has now partnered with Marni for another fashion-focused release. The capsule introduces two silhouettes, both of which reference Marni’s playful and colorful aesthetic with a DIY-inspired design.
The two silhouettes are the V-10 and newly-introduced V-15 high top, both of which feature a scribbled motif across their uppers. All of the shoes have been hand-assembled, with the right and left slightly differing in each pair to reinforce the collection’s theme of originality. The scribbled motif continues to the midsoles, with Marni appearing in black marker on each heel.
Developing Veja’s sustainable ethos, each silhouette comes with two pairs of 100% recycled polyester laces — either multi-colored or white — while the shoes are constructed from Uruguayan leather thath as been tanned at a Gold-certified tannery in Brazil. The soles feature 31% Amazonian rubber, 22% rice waste and 12% recycled rubber.
The Marni x Veja capsule is available to pre-order from the Veja web store, and the first release includes the V-15 in black and the V-10 in “Marsala.”
