Tiffany & Co. has officially launched its new “Tiffany Loc” collection, drawing from the archives to re-envision the symbolic idea of the padlock. Arriving as a token of togetherness and inclusivity, the sleek bangles feature an innovative swivel mechanism that took over a year to develop and is found in different combinations of white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, and pavé diamonds.
Founded in 1837, Tiffany & Co. continued to produce functional padlocks until the ’50s and later continued to use the heritage motifs across its necklaces and other accessories. The new Tiffany Lock bracelets are unisex, fitting wrists up to 6.25 inches, and will no doubt appeal to a younger generation, competing with the likes of Cartier’s Love bracelet. “No rules. All welcome. Tiffany Lock is a new collection of bracelets for everyone,” the LVMH brand writes in the description.
“Tiffany Lock is an elegant interpretation of an archival functional design. Defined by modern, clean lines and a breakthrough clasp mechanism, Tiffany Lock represents an exciting new pillar to our diamond and gold jewelry offering. We are thrilled to unveil our latest icon,” writes Tiffany & Co. executive Alexandre Arnault.
The new Tiffany Lock collection is now available online and will be available in stores beginning this September. Additional styles will launch in January 2023. Prices range from $6,800 to $32,000 USD.
