Remember in the late 2010s when celebrity book clubs were all the rage? We had so many options, we were spoiled. However, fast forward to 2023, and a lot of our favorite celebrity book clubs have ended. However, quite a few of our favorites have stood the test of time (and even treated fans to a July 2023 book pick)!
Less than a week into July, and multiple of our favorite A-listers have dropped some seriously enticing reads we’re going to binge by the beach. Not only did Jenna Bush Hager drop a book recommendation she called “an epic love story,” but Reese Witherspoon just dropped her July pick today on July 5!
From psychological thrillers that’ll leave us on the edge of our seats to “outrageously funny” reads, we’re beyond excited for our quiet reading time to dive into these new tales.
While we’re still impatiently awaiting if Oprah and Florence Welch will give fans a July 2023 book pick, we’re adding these already approved picks to our To Be Read (TBR) lists as soon as possible!

Good Morning America: ‘Save What’s Left’ by Elizabeth Castellano
While Good Morning America isn’t technically a celebrity book club, it’s a pretty big deal, and with so many die-hard fans of the club, we’re counting it. This month, their pick is: Save What’s Left by Elizabeth Castellano! They described the debut novel as “outrageously funny,” and it’s a wild ride.
Save What’s Left follows a woman named Kathleen, whose life was turned upside down after her husband of thirty years left her, she runs off to a scenic beach town. She not only enjoys the view, but it’s already getting into small-town politics. However, she soon realizes this beach town isn’t as scenic, or pretty, as she thought it would be.
