SZA Channels Main Character Energy in the Quentin Tarantino-Inspired Visuals for "Kill Bill"

SZA continues to ride the success of her latest album SOS. After teasing the visuals for the track “Kill Bill,” which showcased the artist dressed for revenge, preparing her katana and riding off int the night on her motorcycle, SZA drops the official music video.

Taking inspiration from the action-packed film of the same name from Quentin Tarantino, the music video sees an appearance from Vivica A. Fox, one of the stars from the 2003 film. Filled with references to the Tarantino film, the music video sees Budd’s trailer, samurai swords, and motorcycles. Scenes from the video give a nod to O-Ren’s anime sequence and the legendary at the House of Blue Leaves against the Crazy 88. The beginning of the video features parts of “Nobody Gets Me” and the video ends to the SOS cut of “Seek & Destroy” for the final minute.

The video was produced by London Alley, a company that had previously worked with other big-name projects including Ariana Grande’s “thank u next” and Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby.” Christian Breslauer directed “Kill Bill.” SZA’s album is currently the first R&B album by a woman that has spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 since 1993.
