SteelSeries Adds Three New Mice to Its Award-Winning Aerox Line

SteelSeries is now introducing three new models to its award-winning Aerox line, a family of gaming mice designed to reduce weight without cutting on performance.

On the multi-genre side, the company has launched the new Aerox 5, available in both a wired or wireless configuration. The former weighs in at just 66 grams while the latter is at a slightly higher 74g to account for its battery, which boasts a run time of up to 180 hours. Just a quick 15-minute charge will give it enough juice to run for 40 or more hours as well. Both mice feature nine fully programmable buttons for all your macro needs, while their 100% Virgin Grade PTFE feet and Golden Micro IP54 switches keep things accurate and crisp. Of course, you’ll also get the company’s usual PrismSync Lighting with three RGB zones, and an added water-resistant AquaBarrier to protect the exposed internals from water damage.

As for the players devoted to competitive MOBAs or MMOs, SteelSeries has now crafted the Aerox 9. With an overall design similar to the Aerox 5, the 9 only comes wireless and replaces the nine programmable buttons located around the device with a numpad-like design on the left surface of the mouse, offering an array of 12 programma buttons for all your skills and rotations. Weighing just 89 grams, the mouse boasts all the same technical features as the Aerox 5, including its Quantum 2.0 Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, its TrueMove Air gaming sensor, and the same battery capacities.

For those interested, all three new additions to its Aerox family are now available over on SteelSeries’ website. The wired Aerox 5 is going for $90 USD, while its wireless counterpart is set at $150 USD. The Aerox 9 is going for $160 USD.
