Sotheby’s has just teamed up with Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA to bring to the public a first-hand look at its 2021 spring auctions.
Showcasing a wide variety of categories, the K11 preview spans 30 modern and contemporary artworks, coveted watches (F.P. Journe, Patek Philippe, Piaget), and even sneakers. From the art category, works by the likes of Roy Lichtenstein, Yoshitomo Nara, Takashi Murakami, Hajime Sorayama and Zeng Fanzhi are all on display. This preview will also tap into Sotheby’s more recent foray into collectible softgoods and designer fashion with a sneaker section featuring “The Holy Grail of Sneakers,” the 1972 Nike “Moon Shoe.”
K11’s Adrian Cheng comments, “I am delighted to be partnering with Sotheby’s on this exciting collaboration to present a world-class auction preview at K11 MUSEA, our cultural-retail flagship destination. Together we are able to foster a broader discussion on the interconnectedness of art, culture and innovation in our community, serving in parallel to our mission of creating shared value and empowering creativity and social innovation for the next generation.”
Those in Hong Kong can visit the auction preview from now until March 23 over at K11 MUSEA’s 6th floor Art & Cultural Centre.
