Skagen, a contemporary accessory brand known for its Danish minimalist design, has revealed two new watches inspired by the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The watches are released as part of a larger accessory capsule that includes a ring, a necklace, earrings and more.
Based on the Gitte, the Basquiat Special Edition “Now’s The Time” watches are both represented through 38mm stainless steel cases, equal water resistance ratings of 3 ATM and both sharing the same two-hand movement.
Where the watches differ are their colorways, with one being presented in a Silver colored case with a white dial and a stainless steel mesh strap with a safety mesh buckle as its closure. On the other hand, the second watch while stainless steel, is finished in black with a black dial and features a black leather strap with a single-prong closure.
Both watches feature mineral-based crystal components and retail for $155 USD. Each watch comes in a box that bears Basquiat’s iconic crown insignia and at the interior reflects some of his art. Those interested in ordering or learning more about Skagen’s Basquiat Special Edition Gitte “Now’s The Time” can check out their official site where the capsule is live.
