Shakira is moving into her extra-hot single gal era because she was already stunning to begin with. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer isn’t giving her ex Gerard Piqué any thought these days because she’s booked and busy with Billboard Latin Music Week’s Hits Don’t Lie: The Superstar Q&A event in Miami — and she went all-out with her sizzling hot look.

Wearing a black leather mini-dress designed by Alex Perry, Shakira looked confident and happy during her appearance. The form-fitting design hugged her gorgeous curves as the belt artfully cinched her waist. She paired the chic look with a pair of black thigh-high platform boots by Giuseppe Zanotti to show off her toned legs. Her long, blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders in beach-y waves that delicately framed her face. The natural makeup gave her skin a soft glow — Shakira looked fabulous!

This hasn’t been an easy year for the 46-year-old musician, who not only split with her athlete boyfriend, but is also dealing with an ongoing tax evasion case in Spain. Despite the setbacks in her personal life, Shakira feels like she’s at her creative best right now because of the hardships. “I’m very inspired, I’m in the mood,” she said during the Q&A, via the Miami Herald. “There have been times when they have to drag me with a crane to the studio. You fight with your art, everyone does. But now I’m in a honeymoon phase with making music and with my career. I’m in love with what I do.”

Her latest music and videos seem to take a page from her relationship with Piqué, who allegedly cheated on her during their time together. Instead of wallowing in the sadness, Shakira is using music as her therapy. “Writing music is a catharsis,” she explained. “I write the most when I’m at my worst. Life hits me with a blow … and I feel stronger. I didn’t think I had so much energy to overcome certain stages of life. It turns out that I was less fragile than I thought.”
