Sony Pictures and Marvel are not quite done with riding the hype from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The studio recently confirmed that it will be releasing an extended cut version of the film titled, the More Fun Stuff Version. While there has not been a trailer released nor hints of what to expect besides a few teasers of what to expect on the big screen comeback, the 11-minute additional footage is slated to feature seven more deleted scenes.
Based on the promotional material, The Direct has predicted which seven deleted extended scenes fans will see. Audiences may be able to dive deeper into the interrogation scene that saw the Department of Damage Control talking to Aunt May, Ned and MJ. In the original cut of the film, Peter’s classmates were excited to find out he was the real Spider-Man. The deleted scenes could hint at a greater celebration of the hero at his school.
It is also possible that there could be an extended look at the Sanctum Sanctorum’s undercroft. While the theatrical cut revealed MJ holding a box containing a goatee template that resembled Doctor Strange’s facial hair, an extended scene could unravel more Easter eggs tied to the character. Daredevil’s appearance might also show how he ties into the story. The extended sequence could also see more of the trio Spider-Man appear on the screen to reveal the greater bond as well as more scenes of the Multiverse villains.
Look out for the extended cut arriving in theaters on September 1.
