Sean Pablo — longtime Supreme skater, Converse CONS team member and founder of Paradis3 — and Converse have joined forces for a new take on the One Star Pro. Featuring a bright color scheme inspired by Sean Pablo’s iconoclastic personal style, hand-drawn graphics that nod to LA graffiti and more, the shoe combines skate-ready performance with plenty of casual flair.
Uppers are made entirely of pink suede, all of which is backed by a rubber lining for extra durability. Hits of leopard print are worked into the quarter panel’s star logos, and a debossed Paradis3 hit on the lateral side runs from the heel to the forefoot. Further details include the aforementioned hand-drawn graphics on the tongue, plus a repeating pink logo print on the midsole that reads “the path to paradise begins in hell.” Insoles even get in on the action, providing full-color prints of some of Sean Pablo’s favorite photographs.
From a performance standpoint, the Sean Pablo x Converse One Star Pro uses CX foam in its sockliner for enhanced impact protection and feel, working with the upper’s rubber lining to provide a shield for the wearer’s foot. Outsoles also use a Converse CONS-specific traction pattern for better boardfeel and grip.
The Sean Pablo x Converse One Star Pro will release on the Converse webstore come September 10. It’s priced at $75 USD.
