Brooklyn rapper Rowdy Rebel has announced the forthcoming release of his debut album, Rebel vs. Rowdy. The rapper is a member of the hip-hop collective GS9, along with his collaborator Bobby Shmurda.
Arriving this Friday, July 15, Rebel revealed the news of the project with an official album trailer. In the video, he recounts his 2014 arrest only a few months after he signed to Epic Records. Rebel, whose real name is Chad Marshall, subsequently served six years in prison and was released in December 2020.
The visual also offers a glimpse at Rebel’s life post-release, showing him hitting the studio and reconnecting with former collaborators.
Due from Epic Records, the LP will feature A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dreezy, Drizzy Juliano, Kamikaze Kai, Fivio Foreign, French Montana and Jadakiss.
