Milwaukee-based product design firm Retrospekt, known for refurbishing vintage film cameras, has tapped Anwar Carrots’ namesake brand for a reimagining of the classic Polaroid camera.
The limited-edition Polaroid 600 Carrots Instant Film Camera was constructed out of refurbished parts from vintage cameras from the ‘80s and ‘90s and packaged in orange and green hardware, the color palette of the Carrots brand.
Retrospekt describes the Polaroid 600 Carrots as working exactly as a new model does. The collaboration has also been officially licensed by both Polaroid and Carrots. To accompany the camera’s debut, Carrots has also designed a limited-edition apparel line.
The Polaroid 600 Carrots Instant Film Camera is available on Retrospekt’s website for $179 USD beginning on July 25. The camera uses the classic Polaroid 600 film, sold separately.
