There’s a lot of good stuff coming to Disney+ this March…
Disney+ has rapidly become one of our go-to streaming services, thanks to the sheer wealth of truly excellent TV and films available on there.
And it seems as if Mickey Mouse and Co are pulling out all the stops to ensure that Disney+ becomes synonymous with the word ’entertainment’, as they recently announced a wealth of new titles from Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pixar and more – all of which are due to drop on the platform in the not-so-distant future.

Happy viewing!
The Dropout
It’s the eagerly anticipated Disney+ series that we’ve been buzzing with excitement for since we lapped up the podcast. And now, we get to see the utter drama of Elizabeth Holmes unfold on the small screen.
Based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, The Dropout sees award-winning Hollywood actor Amanda Seyfried star as Elizabeth Holmes. The Silicon Valley entrepreneur was once dubbed “the next Steve Jobs” but Holmes’ revolutionary health technology company (Theranos) was famously exposed as a scam.
Just how did the world’s youngest self-made billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye? With the first three episodes dropping on Disney+ on 3 March – and episodes landing weekly thereafter – we can’t wait to see how Seyfried embodies the enigmatic character.
The Dropout will be available to stream on Disney+ from 3 March, with episodes being released weekly.

Moon Knight
What do you get when you cross Oscar Isaac, London and some pretty powerful Egyptian gods? The latest Marvel series, of course. Moon Knight follows Steven Grant (Isaac), a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life.
But Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and actually shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. “As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt,” according to the show’s synopsis.
If the trailer’s anything to go by, it’s set to be tense, dark and have some humorous injections.
Moon Knight will be available to stream on Disney+ from 30 March, with episodes being released weekly.
Fresh
Modern dating is about to get a whole lot weirder in this new movie coming to Disney+.
Fresh follows Noa (Normal People’s Daisy Edgar-Jones), who meets the alluring Steve (Pam & Tommy’s Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and – given her frustration with dating apps – takes a chance and gives him her number. After their first date, Noa is suitably smitten so accepts Steve’s invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. But she soon finds that her new lover has actually been hiding some unusual appetites.
Fresh is available to stream on Disney+ on 4 March.
West Side Story
Whether you’re a fan of remakes or not, there’s no denying that Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story has certainly got everybody talking.
The original West Side Story, which was released in 1961, is a hard act to follow – but that hasn’t stopped this film from quickly becoming a seven-time Oscar-nominated cinematic hit.
Inspired by the tragic romance of Romeo And Juliet, it’s a tale of two star-crossed lovers, Tony and Maria – played by Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort and newcomer Rachel Zegler.
West Side Story is available to stream on Disney+ on 2 March.
Nightmare Alley
This film tells the story of down on his luck but charismatic carny Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper). While at a traveling carnival, Carlisle meets and endears himself to clairvoyant Zeena (Toni Collette), as well as her mentalist husband Pete.
Eventually, with the aid of mysterious psychiatrist Dr Lilith Ritter (Cate Blanchett), the duo begin to plot a grift with some newly acquired knowledge, setting their target on dangerous and skeptical tycoon Ezra Grindle (Richard Jenkins).
Nightmare Alley is available to stream on Disney+ on 16 March.
Turning Red
Yes, this one may be a Pixar animation, but really, there are some things you’re never too old for. Recently, Sandra Oh (who lends her voice to the film) spoke out about dealing with stress and anxiety as a child.
In this new movie, Oh plays Ming Lee, the mother of a 13-year-old girl called Mei, who turns into a giant red panda when her emotions are triggered and Oh revealed that she could relate to the experience of her character’s daughter.
“I think what the movie touches on is the extreme highs and lows of emotion,” she said in the interview with Entertainment Tonight and spoke about how her role in the film helped her in confronting her own feelings.
Turning Red is available to stream on Disney+ on 11 March.
The Eyes Of Tammy Faye
In the 1970s, Tammy Faye Bakker and her husband, Jim, rose from humble beginnings to create the world’s largest religious broadcasting network and theme park. However, financial improprieties, scheming rivals and a scandal soon threaten to topple their carefully constructed empire.
If the real-life story doesn’t strike you as wild enough, then the movie most certainly will. Starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield, Chastain has also been nominated for an Oscar for her leading role in the hit movie.
The Eyes of Tammy Faye is available to stream on Disney+ on 23 March.
Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film)
2021 really was the year of Olivia Rodrigo, and whether you care to admit it or not, some of her Sour hits have become part of the cultural zeitgeist. We simply don’t make the rules.
Now, the pop sensation is taking us behind-the-scenes and into the process of what it took to make such a standout debut album. We see everything from melodic arrangements and touring to the heartfelt (and very true) stories behind some of the album’s greatest hits. If you like music documentaries – or even if you’re just a big fan of Rodrigo’s – we’re sure this’ll be the March docufilm pick for you.
Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film) is available to stream on Disney+ on 25 March.
Pam & Tommy
If you’ve been tuning into Pam & Tommy each week on Disney+, you’ll know that the wild twists just keep on coming in this drama series. The star-studded cast is led by Lily James (Downton Abbey) and Sebastian Stan (Fresh) as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee respectively.
Prepare for pure raucous action, but also some searing reflections on misogyny, powerful speeches and very special moments. The eight-episode series will be wrapping up this month and then the boxset will be ready and waiting for you to binge-watch for the rest of March.
Pam & Tommy is available to stream on Disney+ now, with new episodes released weekly.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
This 2011 film is coming to the streaming platform ready for a movie marathon of pretty epic proportions. In it, we follow retired spy, George as he’s summoned by the government to investigate a furtive case. As the synopsis reads: “With a secret Soviet agent assumed to be working within their system, will George be able to unveil his identity?”
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy will be available to stream on Disney+ on 4 March.
The Great North
If you like tongue-in-cheek comedy cartoons (think Bob’s Burgers, Big Mouth, Bojack Horseman) then you’ll likely love this new series coming to Disney+ this month. It scores a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family.
Single dad, Beef (voiced by Parks & Recreation’s Nick Offerman), does his best to keep his “weird” bunch of kids close with very funny consequences.
The Great North season two will be available to stream on Disney+ on 9 March.
The Sense Of An Ending
A middle-aged business owner (who lives a quiet life in London) reunites with his first love after his mother unexpectedly receives a letter from his high school ex-girlfriend, which forces him to confront the past. As well as starring Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery, this 2017 film also stars Billy Howle (Chloe) and Freya Mavor (Skins).
The Sense Of An Ending will be available to stream on Disney+ on 4 March.
Women Of Impact: Changing The World
National Geographic are providing us with an inspiring documentary watch this month and we couldn’t be more excited. In it, we explore a host of incredible women who are on the front lines of exploration, conservation, and storytelling.
